Selling The Truth
We were heartened to hear news of former Press Secretary Scott McClellan's new book, I Just Say What They Pay Me To.
Although none of us have read it yet, the Brainsnap staff is looking forward to getting the straight story of what really happened in the White House in those heady days. After all, Scott seems like a likable guy. It's too bad that he, like too many Americans, was duped by slick PR and - dare we say it? - propaganda coming from the highest office in the land.
Poor guy. It's hard to imagine what he has been through. After all, McClellan is so agreeable in the media blitz to promote his tell-all book. He is as earnest and witty now as when he was joking with the ferocious liberal media, doing his darnedest to answer their gotcha questions.
But if reporters were too zealous then, perhaps they'll be kinder now to an honest man just trying to make an honest buck.
