Barbara Bush Tells George to Clean Up Mess
The former first lady and current mother of everyone's favorite president George 'Dubya' Bush, has publicly called for her powerful son to clean up the mess he has created in Iraq.
Speaking to the Boston Globe she reportedly said, "He should finish his little war games and clean up. It's disgusting. I'm really embarrassed. Imagine what the neighbors will think if they happen to visit."
"He never cleaned his room as a boy." She continued. "He'd get in there and mess it all up, then just leave it. Boys never seem to grow up. His father is just the same. To be honest he kind of set the example for young George by creating the Iraq mess in the first place. And Georgie of course, being who he is, couldn't wait to get in there and muck it up even further. It's just like his second birthday, we made him this big cake and I turned my head and next minute Georgie was knee deep in it, stuffing icing and cream down his diaper."

Mrs Bush's statements have clearly embarrassed the president. A White House spokesperson read a prepared statement to the media, "Mr Bush has protested to his mother over her comments. He feels it is unfair to accuse him of such things when she lets Jeb gets away with everything in Florida. Furthermore, he expresses resentment at the fact that Jeb has always been mommy's favourite. He points to the time at a Carnival in Houston in 1960 when she bought a bigger bag of candy for Jeb just because he was braver on the ferris wheel. The president believes, rightly, that as he is now a president and Jeb is just a governor that mommy should stop playing favorites and treat him with respect, so there."
The rift in the Bush family appears to have been developing for some time now. Former White House security agent, Lloyd Braunner, told Brainsnap that he saw elements of rivalry in the months immediately after Bush won his presidency. "I remember they had this big family dinner. George thanked Jeb for rigging the election results for him. Jeb made some comment about how it was the least he could do, as George was too dopey to win anything without his family connections. The next minute it was all on. George was flinging food across the table, and called Jeb "mommy's favorite'. Jeb then tossed a glass of lemonade at George and called him "a nancy boy who couldn't do anything right.'"
The boys' babysitter, Helen Senior, also recalls intense rivalry between the siblings for their parents' affections. "I remember when they were young boys at home and they were playing at being war pilots like their daddy. Jeb insisted that he blew George up, and George burst into tears and screamed that he wasn't dead, and that he was a better fighter than Jeb."
Senior also commented on the president's tendency to make a mess and not clean it up. "Of course George was always a bit of a sook, and made sure he never actually did any real fighting, but he did love playing soldiers. He would get all his plastic men and trucks and tanks and spread over the entire bedroom floor, then stomp on them, then just leave them there for years without any real reason, until a lot of them were lost or broken. Actually, I guess there are parallels to Iraq there."
